Friday Finishes!

Good morning! This is what I have been working on the past few weeks. Yes, I have been busy. No, they are not quilts, but a lot of handwork was done especially on the bed runner and then to the bottom of the pillows to close them up. Of course, I did a lot of hand work on the crazy pillows, but I really enjoyed seeing how they developed.

I am now making a purse for my daughter as a belated birthday present. I think she is really going to like it. I don't think I've ever told you all, but I HATE to put in zippers!!! I thought this was the easiest zipper I had ever put in. That was until I tried to zip it up! Argh!! I was so disappointed! I had to start taking two seams out. Black thread on black fabric is really hard to see! I just finally quit after my eyes started crossing. LOL I will get back to it this morning after breakfast. I can't wait to see it finished. When it is done, I will post pictures as I went through the process of making it. At least  part of the steps.

I pray you have a blessed day and come back to see me!

  3. Those crazy pillows look amazing. The bed runner looks tricky. Suffolk puffs are to me like zippers are to you. Can't wait to see the purse.

  4. Well done Teresa, you managed to finish a lot this week. I love the yoyo runner too, it's the first time I've seen it, maybe I should have a go. Love your crazy pillows, you've really excelled since you first started crazy work. Kind Regards Mandy currie

  5. Beautiful work. Love those pillows! Know what you mean about black thread on black--hate it when I choose black binding and have to pick any out or even see where I've been going! Enjoy your weekend!

  6. Of course, I have seen the lovely pillows and runner in person. You did a great job on all of them.

A plus on the purse---you get to work on something besides the lovely pillows and runner. The fabrics are quite dramatic and it is hard to go too wrong with a Lazy Girl pattern. The minus, taking out those stitches that you were trying to so hard to hide. Black on black IS hard and it looks to be an overcast day today so natural light will be lacking too.
